August 28, 2012 — According to IMDB.com, episode 2 of “SCANDAL’s” sophomore season is entitled “The Other Woman” and is scheduled to air on October 4.

SCANDAL Pace (S2 Spoilers): TV Line’s ‘Ask Ausiello’ reports on the time lapse between season 1 & 2

August 21, 2012 — This week’s edition of ‘Ask Ausiello’ courtesy of TV Line News hints at the time gap GLADIATORS can expect between season ones’s finale episode and the premiere of the sophomore season.

Excerpt from the 8/21/12 edition of ‘Ask Ausiello’:

Question: Scandal was flawless in its inaugural season. Any scoop on Season 2? How much time will have passed between seasons? —Mike
Ausiello: Though Kerry Washington wouldn’t nail down the exact time jump since Olivia promised Mellie to keep her mitts off Fitz, she did tell Matt Mitovich that Season 2 picks up “more than a month, less than a year” later, with the “Who Is Quinn?” mystery rolling to a boil. “We do find out who she is, but we’re still like, ‘But why? And how?’ All of that,” says the series lead. And, interestingly, some of Olivia’s fellow gladiators are champing at the bit to get the complete story. As Washington teases, “There are reasons why certain people need more answers right away, and other people don’t. Even that’s complicated.”

SCANDAL Pace (News): Olympic Gold medalist sprinter Allyson Felix visits the set of ‘SCANDAL’

August 16, 2012 — ‘SCANDAL’ creator Shonda Rhimes invited sprinter and Olympic gold medalist, Allyson Felix to visit the set of the ABC drama after Felix’s impromptu shout-out. An NBC correspondent spoke with Felix after winning the 200m race, which guaranteed her spot in the finals of the 2012 Olympic games in London.  During the interview Felix told the correspondent that she spent time in her hotel room earlier that day watching ‘SCANDAL’ on DVD.  While Felix was on set she spent time with the cast and Access Hollywood caught up with the Olympic Champion and series star Kerry Washington.

SCANDAL Pace (S2 Spoilers): 5 Reasons GLADIATORS Can’t Wait til Sept. 27

July 27, 2012 — EW’s Spoiler Room offers GLADIATORS 5 hints on the sophomore season of ABC’s ‘SCANDAL’, making the anticipated Sept. 27th premiere even more SCANDALous!

EW’s Sandra Gonzalez talks with Tony Goldwyn about what GLADIATORS can expect during Season 2 of ‘SCANDAL’

1. Who IS Quinn?
Goldwyn promises an answer in the season premiere. BUT… “As per typical Shonda, you find out, but then you find out you don’t know,” he says. “The stakes could not be higher for the characters. It’s literally life and death on multiple fronts for several of the characters in the first episode.”

2. Don’t count on Happily Ever After — this season, at least
“If [Olivia and Fitz] get together it would certainly create bigger problems than we’ve ever had before,” says Goldwyn. “I don’t think there will be a wedding this season — that’s my prediction.”

3. More flashbacks?
Not in the first episode. But Goldwyn doesn’t think they are done exploring the past, especially since early plans for the second season had the story flashing back to different parts of Fitz and Olivia’s relationship and the early part of the presidency. “Obviously that’s not the choice they made from a storytelling standpoint but there’s, I’m sure, a lot of material there is she wants to go there,” he said.

4. Cyrus and Fitz on the rocks
Olivia and Fitz aren’t the only relationship going through a rough patch. “With Cyrus, of course, he knows nothing about Cyrus being behind Amanda Tanner’s death, but the power dynamic between them has changed. Cyrus very much used to be like a big brother but the trust has been shattered,” he says. “All of that personal camaraderie at the moment [is gone]. But I think that will change; they need each other very much. And Olivia will be a factor in that as well.”

5. President Grant goes to China?
Not exactly. But Goldwyn said there’s a chance he’ll “be skipping a few episodes” to direct and produce a currently untitled legal thriller pilot for AMC with his producing partner Richard LaGravenese. “Fitz can go on a foreign trip or something – maybe make a trip to China for a few episodes,” he says.

SCANDAL Pace (S2 Spoilers): And the title of Episode 201 is…

August 5, 2012 — Although a source cannot be confirmed, according to IMDB.com, the season premiere episode of ‘SCANDAL’ is entitled “White Hat’s Off”! Deep breath GLADIATORS…if the episode’s title is any indication of what’s to come, this season premiere is sure to rock our ‘SCANDALous’ world!
